Our wonderful Honeymoon...four years in the making!!

In March Justin and I will be celebrating four years of marriage!! Because of our brand new jobs at the time, we didn't get to go on a true honeymoon when we got married. So last August we decided that it was about time we actually took one. Justin did some research and we booked a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico!!

Now I'm not going to lie...I was pretty nervous about the trip. Especially the days before we were set to go. The Tuesday before we our trip, my grandfather passed away, Justin and I were both sick (I was throwing up all evening Thursday), and I was convinced that we were going to be kidnapped by drug gangs!

After much debate and talking with my grandma, we decided that we would still take our honeymoon. We definitely made the right decision. We spent four day and three nights there and it was amazing! It was high 70's during the day and I got a great tan! We enjoyed wonderful meals, and whale watching! But most importantly Justin and I got to have great conversations and just enjoyed being in each other's company!!

We stayed at the Barcelo Hotel and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. It is only a couple of years old and it is absolutely beautiful! The staff is very attentive but not overbearing! We will definitely use them again when we return to Cabo!!
I hope you enjoy the pictures!!

New Haircut!

Yesterday afternoon I had a haircut, so I decided to take Kendall to get her very first haircut!! Yes, I finally cut her hair! Fortunately my friend's daughter, Amber, was able to go with us so that she could keep Kendall entertained while I got my hair cut first!! When it was Kendall's turn, she sat on my lap like a big girl and just stared in the mirror! She would cry anytime Jacinta (our hair stylist) would turn the chair away from the mirror, so poor Jacinta just had to walk around the chair to cut Kendall's hair!

Afterwards, Jacinta gave Kendall a small mirror to hold so she could look at her hair just the way Mommy did!! Kendall thought that was the best part! When we got home she went straight to her daddy and said "see petty (pretty)" while rubbing her hair!
Enjoy the pictures!!
This was the before picture!

She couldn't get enough of the mirror!

The finished products!! Of course, she wouldn't look at the camera!

Papa McReynolds

Yesterday morning at 5:30 I got a phone call from my dad saying that my Papa (his dad) passed away earlier that morning. My papa has been sick for quite a while so we knew this day was coming. But it was still really hard to hear that he was gone. However, I do know that he is Heaven now pain free, can take a deep breath, and cheer for his beloved Aggies. Yes, he is an Aggie, but I have long since forgiven him for that!!

When I think of Papa I will remember all the birthday cards that I received that were addressed to "love of my life", how he always had whiskers that tickled my cheeks when I kissed him, and his funny e-mails that he would send.

My papa was a great man and he will be dearly missed by his family and everyone that new him. Here are two of my favorite pictures:

I love this picture. I think she was trying to steal the remote and he was saying "I'm on to you"!!

I love you Papa!

Birthday Party...Rock N' Roll Style!!

Though Kendall's birthday was last Friday, we had her party yesterday here at our house. Kendall absolutely loves music. She is always dancing and singing around the house or in the car. So, this year her party was a music theme. She had seven little friends over and they all had a ball. Hope you enjoy the pictures!!

This banner was made by my friend Kari.
Thank you Kari!!

Kendall's invitations looked just like her cake!

Yummy sugar cookies!

I made the music notes and Justin hung them all up for me!!

Kendall playing with her balloons!

Isn't her outfit the cutest?? It went with the theme perfectly!

Kendall loved it when everyone sang to her!

Kendall "blowing" out her candles. We don't have that trick down quite yet!

Opening up her presents. This was her first gift to open. It was a cupcake set. She loves cupcakes so
much and she didn't want to open any other gifts after that. We had to finally destract Kendall
so that we could hide them and open her other gifts!!

She had so much fun at her party! After everyone left Justin and I decided that we will probably have
her next birthday party somewhere other than our house!! She received some really great gifts: Mrs. Potato head, three new baby doll, which all of them are named "Baby Abby", diapers for her dolls, a kitchen, and a necklace and bracelet and the cutest pair of rain boots!! She also got some super cute spring clothes!

Thank you to everyone who came to the party and who sent her wonderful birthday cards! She loves checking the mail and is so thrilled when I tell her that a card is for her!!

Kendall is TWO!!!

O my goodness!! Our little Kendall Marie is two! I seriously can't believe it! It feels like yesterday we were bringing her home, but at the same time I can't remember our life before her! Justin and I started a little tradition last year which is that just the three of us go out to a special dinner to celebrate Kendall's actual birthday. This year we decided to go to Atami. It is a hibachi grill and restaurant. We have taken Kendall there once before and she absolutely loved the show. This time was no different. In fact, everyone around us was watching Kendall watch our chef prepare our food. After he was done, she took her chop sticks and tried to imitate everything he did! It was so much fun!!

Kendall eating grapes before school.

Kendall, you have really started to let your personality shine! You are always on the go. You don't walk, you run everywhere! You are talking more and more. Our favorite is when you see something new or do something wrong and you say "O Gosh!!" then immediately covering your mouth with your hand. You even raise you eyebrows as you say it! You love to help. You love to help cook, and you love to help Mommy with the laundry. You especially love to put the clothes from the washer to the dryer! Though sometimes you put the dry dirty clothes in with the clean wet clothes!

She is a little grape monster!!

You could still eat oranges, grapes, bread, and ravioli all day, everyday! You are getting better eating more foods, but sometimes that is only after a few tantrums!! You love your milk and ask for it as soon as you wake in the mornings. You love to go grocery shopping and you love to "dry" us down the isles in the car buggy. You want to stop at all the food demonstrations and you always say "bite peas (please)". When you take a bit you close your eyes and say "Mmmmm". It makes me and the store employees laugh!

Kendall and Daddy before going to school on her birthday!

You love your mommy but you are by far a Daddy's Girl!! You do your little happy dance every time you see him when we get home from school.

Kendall opening her gift from us. It is a little cradle for her baby doll.

You are such a little mommy! You absolutely love your baby doll (Baby Abby). You love to feed her, change her clothes, and change her diaper. You also read to her and rock her. It melts my heart every time I watch you with your baby. Your teacher at school tells me you do the same with your friends. You tell and show them what to do. And you know what?? They listen to you! Miss Tatiana says she loves watching you be the little mother in class!

Kendall and Mommy on our way to her special birthday dinner!

Kendall Marie, we love you more than you could every know. We love the little lady you are turning in to. We thank God everyday that He chose us to be your parents.
We are so proud to be your mommy and daddy!!

Baking Time

Tomorrow Kendall Marie will be TWO!! Yes, that's right...my sweet little baby will be two tomorrow. And yes, in case you are wondering, we have hit the terrible two's. In fact we have been knocking on that door for a while now!!

To celebrate her birthday I decided that I would make cupcakes for her to take to school tomorrow. Kendall loves to help so we put on our aprons and dug in!!

Kendall got this cute apron from her uncle Ryan for Christmas
It says "Diva in Training"

Watching the mixer. This is always her favorite part!

Well, actually, this is her favorite part!!
Can you really blame her??

Christmas Time

Christmas 2010 was so much fun this year. We did some traveling, but it was all worth it. We spent Christmas Eve in Houston with my parents. We opened gifts and had a great meal and then we headed to Church. Here are some of our favorite pictures:

Kendall eating breakfast. She had to have a pillow behind her back just like Granny!

Memaw and Kendall in their Santa hats!

You can't see it, but Kendall is sitting on her new soccer ball.
That was the only way we could get her to take a picture!

Christmas Morning was spent at our house. Santa brought lots of goodies for Kendall!

Christmas Eve 2010!!

On Christmas Day we went over to Justin's parents for a nice lunch and more presents!! Kendall got a slide and Justin surprised me with an Amazon Kindle!!

The following Monday and Tuesday we went to Ft. Worth to have Christmas with the rest of Justin's family. We had lots of fun. We especially loved playing with Kendall's floor piano (like the one in the movie "Big"). Justin's aunt got Kendall some scrubs and a medical kit. Everyone got their heart listened to and their blood pressure checked!

Nurse Kendall Marie!

Even the dog got a check up!!

Grammy and Kendall

We then went over to Mimi and Papa's house. There we had a white elephant gift exchange. It's suppose to be with good gifts. I got a digital picture frame (a good gift) and Justin came home with a bison scrotum. Yes, you read that right. A bison scrotum...don't even ask! It was also Papa's birthday so we had a little celebration with him.
