Caution....

Have you ever been cooking something that requires quite a few ingredients from your pantry? So instead of opening and closing the pantry door a hundred times, you just leave it open for convenience. Well, I did that last week and let me tell you it may not be the brightest idea with a toddler hanging around......

I will say at least it kept her occupied for about 25 minutes and I knew exactly where she was and she wasn't getting near the hot stove!!

Potty Time!!

During the last month I have noticed that Kendall is getting more and more interested in the potty. She loves to follow me in the bathroom, get the toilet paper for me, (we're working on the amount she give me) and flush the toilet (we're also working on the number of times we flush). She is telling us when she is stinky and wet and she even has a certain spot she likes to do her "business".

So today I went to target and got a little surprise for Kendall...

I thought I had a better picture of just the toilet but I don't, so please excuse the tissue!!

We first just let Kendall play with the toilet, but then she started pulling on her shorts, so I took her out of her shorts and diaper and let her play with it. She would sit on the seat, then get off and close the lid, and then "flush"....She repeated this cycle SEVERAL times!! She was having so much fun. After about the fifth time she just sat there for a long time and had this very serious look on her face. All of a sudden we heard a tinkle. She was so proud of herself!! Justin and I were SO proud of her too. We couldn't believe that she actually went tee tee on her first day of trying!!
Here are a few more pictures...

Swimming Lessons!!

Kendall has become such the water bug this summer so Justin and I decided to put her in swimming lessons. She is in the water babies class and they learn to kick, scoop the water with their arms, lay on their backs,  and go under water!! There are two other little boys in her class. Today Justin got in the water with Kendall and I stayed on the deck to take pictures. That was NOT a very good idea. Kendall kept wanting to get out and run to me. Let's just say from now on BOTH of us will get in and participate!! Enjoy the pictures!!

After swim lessons were over, Kendall and her friend Harper played around in the pool. Kendall and her daddy also practiced jumping off the splash pad and going under the water!!

Fourth of July

We had a busy, but GREAT weekend. Friday we went over to some friends house for a cookout. Kendall was so cranky for the first hour or so. The only thing that made her happy was a bag full of old matchbox cars!! Go figure! Saturday morning we went to a wedding. It was a beautiful wedding, though I didn't get to see much because Kendall was not a fan of sitting still in the pew. After the wedding, Justin headed out to the lake. Justin's friend from high school has a family lake house out there so we have gone to celebrate the Fourth for the past three years with them. We had a great time fishing, swimming in the lake, and of course eating!! Kendall had a ball playing ping pong and she actually loved the lake.
Here are a couple of pictures of Kendall in her cute Fourth of July outfit!!

These next pictures have nothing to do with this post, but we had spaghetti and as you can see, Kendall loved it!!
