Our Friends are in Town!

My dear sweet friend, Kari, and her baby have been in town for a couple of weeks, and so we met up at the mall. Then we went to Chick-Fil-A for supper. I'll give you one guess, as to whose choice it was!! Kari lives in Kansas, and I miss her so much! It's always so nice to see her...I just wish it was more often than once every three or four months! Here are a couple of pics of our girls...

A New Chief in Town!

Justin and I have recently redone our bedroom (I'll post on that when it's complete). We are needing some new curtains, so we headed to town. Our search took us to BB&B. However, instead of coming out of there with some curtains, we came out with this.....

More Birthday Fun, and Mommy Time!

This morning we rushed back from Houston to attend another birthday party. This one was for Kendall's friend, Harper. I swear Kendall has more of a social calendar than her mommy! Harper's party was at Power Sports. This place is hands down, THE place to have a birthday party. Kendall had so much fun playing on all the gymnastics equipment.

Later that afternoon, Kendall went to Mrs. Amy's house to play and I went for a mommy's only lunch. It was so nice to just talk to my heart's content with my friends and not worry about our kids. We then hopped over to the Peddler Show for a little shopping fun.

While I was on my Mommy only outing, Kendall went to the Children's Museum. Kendall practice cutting with scissors, and Amy sent me this funny video!

 

Lots of Birthday Fun

Tonight, Kendall and I went to Houston for our cousin, Sage's, birthday party. It was a lemonade them and it was a lot of fun. Kendall had a blast playing with her cousins.

Oklahoma!!

This past weekend was spent in Oklahoma! Not the part where I'm from, but Oklahoma all the same!! We met up with Justin's college roommates and their families. We had so much fun, cooking, eating, watching all our kids play, swimming, and did I mention eating?? There were four couples and we had five kids under the age of 3 yrs with one on the way. To say that it was a fun, crazy weekend is an understatement!
On Friday, Justin went with Tyler to work for a little bit (he's a vet) while Jill and I let the kids played and just hung around the house. We then met the guys for lunch as well as our other friends. That night we went over to Tyler's parents' house and swam in the pool.
Saturday morning we went and let the kids ride a horse. Kendall had a blast! She took two turns and probably would have stayed on the horse all day if we had let her!! The ladies then went to town to do a little shopping while the guys put the kiddos for a nap.  Later that afternoon we rented a party boat equipped with a slide and hung out at the lake. The kids had a great time on the boat and everyone had a great time going down the slide!!

Sunday, it was time for everyone to pack up and go home. We all had so much fun, we decided that this will now be a yearly get together!! And in classic Lauren manner, I forgot my camera and only remember to take a picture with my phone during the horse riding!!

Stock Yards & the Ft. Worth Zoo

My mom and I met Melinda, Aunt Kelley, Julie, and Grandma Geneva at the Ft. Worth Stock Yards for lunch and to do a little shopping. Kendall had her picture made at the museum, and then we met for lunch at a great hamburger place. Kendall then "rode" a horse.

My mom and I then went home, while Kendall stayed a couple days with Melinda in Ft. Worth. They were to the zoo and Kendall loved seeing all the animals!

A Dear Friend's Wedding

Tonight, my mom, Kendall and I went to Dallas for my dear friend's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and Sam looked gorgeous. Kendall kept calling her a princess! It was so nice to see some of my dear friends from Texas Tech and to catch up.

Cheerleading!

For the first part of the summer, I thought I would put Kendall in a cheerleading class instead of gymnastics. I absolutely loved cheerleading growing up so I thought Kendall would too....yeah, not so much!! Kendall had a hard time listening to her coach and didn't really want to participate. Because her coach had to stop several times throughout the lesson to refocus Kendall, this heartbroken mommy thought it would be better to put Kendall back in gymnastics for the rest of the summer and next school year. Oh, well, we can always try next year!!
There were a few times, Kendall really enjoyed the class, however.....those were when they were stunting and Kendall was the flyer!

Birthday Fun!

I know I use that title way to much.... Kendall and Jacob have been best friends since they were babies. I know that sounds weird, but they have!! They have been in separate schools now for a month. I think they have both adjusted, but they miss each other. Kendall was so excited to be going to Jacob's party and to play with him!!

Happy 4th of July!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!!

 

Justin is on duty today, so Kendall and I thought we would make some cookies and take up to the fire station. After that, we went over to Grammy's house to hang out for a little bit. We were going to go watch the fireworks show, but it doesn't start until 10pm and that's just to late for this mommy!!

The Circus is in Town!!

The Barnum & Bailey Ringling Circus so Justin and I thought we would treat Kendall. Thanks to Justin's job, we had amazing seats. Since it started late, and Kendall had virtually no nap, I was a little worried about how well she would do. I didn't need to worry, because Kendall was mesmerized with every.little.thing to do with the circus. She loved every minute of it, and to be honest, so did her mom and dad!!
I actually brought my camera and tried to take pictures, however I didn't think to check the battery before I left the house. So you will have to excuse the quality of the pictures!!

A New School

I haven't been satisfied with Kendall's current school for a while now. Justin and I have talked it over and have finally decided to change schools. I know Kendall is going to really miss her friends, especially Jacob, and that makes my heart hurt. But I just cannot ignore my gut feeling any longer, and so today is Kendall's first day at Stepping Stone.
She is so excited and so is this mommy!!
