Christmas Art Project

Ok, so my favorite past time lately has been browsing around on Pinterest. If you haven't been to this site, you have to check it out. But beware, you will find yourself spending hours looking at everything!!
So anyway, I saw that Christmas craft and knew I had to try it with Kendall.

the tutorial.
Kendall was sick on Monday so we stayed home and chilled. Towards the afternoon Kendall was feeling much better and we were both going a little stir crazy so I thought this would be the perfect time to try out our craft!!
The supplies: canvas, paints, brushes, and a cookie cutter
(not pictured)
 My eager helper!
So our tree is a little lopsided...but hey that's life right?!?
I used a cookie cutter to trace a star and then painted it in!
Kendall and I are very proud of how it turned out!
(I think I may repaint the star and add some glitter!)

she had a 102 degree fever, she was still smiling and
able to make a mess of her supper!!

Showing off her new hairband, thanks to Memaw and
her new glitter silver shoes!!

My First Christmas Craft!!

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am not a crafty person. In fact my idea of crafts, is paying someone else to do the craft for me!!
Well, about a month ago I discovered The Craft O Maniac. On her blog there was this cutest lamp:
I have had a lamp sitting in my garage since February, so I thought I would give this craft a shot. I wanted to do something fun and unique with this lamp for Christmas! After a couple of e-mails to Jenni, several hours, and a couple of curse words, I finally finished it!!
By all means, it isn't perfect, but if you look at it from a distance, it's pretty darn cute!! I found the ribbon at Michael's (about 3 spools). You just need ribbon, a lamp, and a glue gun!! You can get all the directions from here!
Here is a before and after:

Robot Boot camp!

For the last two years, I have been part of the  Davinci Robot team at work. It was been very frustrating and very rewarding! Because we can always learn more and be better, we recently went to Austin for a Robot Boot camp!!

Because the boot camp started really early in the morning, we traveled the night before. Our Intuitive rep took us out for a nice dinner.  It was fun just to hang out with the team outside of work!

The boot camp was intense, but very informative. The main presenter is a renown robotic surgeon and was great to listen to! At one point we took a tour of his hospital to see how the turnover and things like that. We had to wait for a little bit, so of course, my camera came out!!
This was in the elevator that we rode in...twice!!
 Our whole group!
 This is my favorite picture!!
